Privacy Policy
This policy explains, in plain language, what information PuppyPaw collects when you visit puppypaw.org and how it is handled. We have tried to keep this short and honest rather than legalistic.
What we collect
PuppyPaw is a reference site — you can look up foods without creating an account, and we do not ask you to. The information we do collect is limited to:
- Basic analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand which pages are useful and how visitors move through the database — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is aggregated, statistical usage data, not something we tie to your identity.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our servers automatically record standard technical data such as IP address, browser user-agent, and the time of each request. These logs help keep the site secure and running, and are retained only for a limited period.
- Anything you send us. If you email us (for example, a correction or a source suggestion), we receive the contents of that message and your email address so we can reply.
Cookies
PuppyPaw and our analytics provider use cookies and similar technologies to measure usage and remember basic preferences. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some usage measurement will not function.
Third parties
Our analytics data is processed by Google under its own privacy terms. If we display advertising in the future, ad partners may also set cookies; we will update this policy before that happens. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it except as needed to operate the site or as required by law.
Your choices and requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, or to ask a privacy question, send us a message through our contact form and we will respond.
This policy is provided for general information and may be updated as the site changes; material updates will be reflected here. It does not constitute legal advice.
